FAQ

1. What are osmotic dried fruits?

Osmotic dried fruits are similar to infused dried fruits, but with an important difference. With osmotic dried fruits there is a natural process called osmosis, where the moisture in the fruits is replaced with glucose-fructose syrup. After the osmosis, fruits are placed in vacuum driers, where they are dried at low temperatures. On this way, we get tasty and healthy product which preserves the most important nutrition.

2. What are freeze-dried fruits?

Freeze-drying process is opposite to process of drying fruits on higher temperatures. Under certain air pressure, fruits are dried on very low temperatures – by freezing. Because of the very low temperature (-60 °C), over 90% of water from fruits just evaporates. Freeze-dried fruits have the highest quality among all varieties of dried fruits, because all nutrition, taste and shape are preserved. There is only one disadvantage of freeze-dried fruits – the price.

3. Why are dried fruits with Serbian origin better than some other origins?

In Serbia, the agriculture is very important industry branch. This is not so without any reason. Climatic conditions combined with one of the most fertile soil in Europe contributed to the quality of Serbian fruits. In comparison with fruits from northern parts of the world, Serbian fruits have more sweetness because of more sunny days, and in comparison with southern parts of the world, Serbian fruits are more soft and juicy due to the more rainy days. Thus, Serbian dried fruits are high quality.

4. Which documents are issued by Negotium in export jobs?

Standard documentation which Negotium is issuing are commercial invoice, packing list, phyto-sanitary certificate, health certificate, laboratory analysis, CMR and EUR 1/CT-2/GSP (depending on the buyer’s market).

5. How Negotium’s LOT number is formed?

Negotium form its LOT number based on a principle #ddmmyy/interncode/interncode, where the date is representing the starting date of the production of certain batch of products. LOT number is very important for tracking the product’s origin in further distribution abroad.

6. How is Negotium labeling their products?

Labeling is always done in consulting with the buyer, but standard labeling includes product name, net weight, exporter, country of origin, production date, best before date and LOT number. Negotium also can custom label the product upon the customer’s wish.
